Fancy Dinner — La Sibilla
Whether you like it or not, Christmas is that time of the year when we must dress up elegant.
In my last post, I tried to convince myself it wasn’t, haha.
But, actually, it’s a month that involves fancy dinners and reunions with a dress code; especially when it comes to New Year’s Day.
The thing is that sometimes to dress up elegant can be… *sighs* Exhausting. 😪
Anyways… On December 27, I and my partners from Airways Magazine dined at La Sibilla for our ‘Not-So-Christmas Dinner 2017’.
So, I want to share my dining and outfit experience at this extraordinary Italian-cuisine restaurant in Caracas.
The Antipasto: A GLORIOUS Swordfish carpaccio. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
The Secondo: A delicious plate of white fish with a sauce -that I can’t recall- over delicate, thin slices of potato. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
The Dolce: One scoop of Fior di Latte gelato, and another one of Ponche Crema, with granulated nuts and chocolate. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
The drinks: For the Antipasto, a Cayenne Cocktail (which carries the name of the Hotel), a glass of Pinot Noir, and water. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
Plus: Various pieces of bread. The Focaccia was INCREDIBLE. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
It was amazing to see the efficiency, meticulousness, and attention of every member of the restaurant.
You won’t feel that you’re in Caracas when you’re inside La Sibilla. Simply magical.
Flawless from the main lobby to the table and vice-versa.
OVERALL — You must go. You’re not going to feel disappointed about your dining experience there. (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
[Shoutout to my boss, EP!]
MyOUTFIT — Suit and blue long sleeve shirt -both- from Brooks Brothers + Timberland velvet shoes + Silver Swatch + Slave.
MyADVICE — In order to keep it simple -visually,- pick a unicolor shirt. My color recommendations would be light blue or pink, and white or black.
That’s regarding the top… Now, the bottom.
Wear a khaki pant or a dark navy one. If you want to chill with your New Year’s outfit, use a dark jean.
Oh! I almost forgot. There’s no need to match your suit with your pants.
I blended a khaki pant with a dark navy suit, and it couldn’t look better.
P.S.: There’s something interesting about this night: If you want to wear a tie or a bow tie, you can; but if you don’t, it’s ok too!
Plus — I made this calendar under my graphic design entrepreneurship, Zvonilogos, thinking of all the good things you gave me during 2017.
